This is our CR2032 breakout, allowing you to tap into compact, readily-available CR2032 coin cell batteries to power your project, with the flexibility to solder wires, headers and more, alongside M2.5 mounting options and underside soldering pads!

Simply push a CR2032 battery into the holder, and you have access to 3V for your low-power or wearable projects.

There are, of course, only two outputs from a battery like this – 3V and GND – however we’ve doubled these up in case you’re powering multiple devices, and to make it a bit more stable when using with headers in a breadboard project. The pads are 2.54mm-spaced and clearly labelled. You cansolderwhatever you like to these, such as theincluded 4-pin 2.54mm header strip(great forbreadboardusage), someprototyping wire, or even an 4-way 2.54mm terminal block.

If you’re soldering wires, consider using theunderside solder pads. We added these because we know just how tricky it is to de-solder and re-solder a wire from a pad hole. With the underside pads, it’s much, much easier to re-work and re-use.

We also usedM2.5 mounting holesas they’re a popular size with easy-to-source fixings…and because our big sausage hands dislike fiddly M2 fixings.
