APPLICATION:
ACSR Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced wire is used as bare overhead transmission cable and as primary and secondary distribution cable. ACSR offers optimal strength for line design. Variable steel core stranding for desired strength to be achieved without sacrificing ampacity.

CONDUCTOR:
Aluminum alloy 1350-H119 wires, concentrically stranded around a steel core available with Class A, B or C galvanizing; aluminum coated (AZ); or aluminum-clad steel core (AL). Additional corrosion protection is available through the application of grease to the core or infusion of the complete cable with grease.

CONDUCTOR STRANDING (Aluminum/Steel):
7/1

All values are nominal and subject to correction. * Current ratings based on 75C conductor temperature, 25C ambient temperature, emissivity 0.5, 2ft/sec wind in sun. ** Resistance is calculated using ASTM standard increments of stranding, and metal conductivity of 61.2% IACS for EC (1350) and 8% IACS for steel. AC (60Hz) resistance includes current dependent hysteresis loss factor for 1 and 3 layer constructions.
