This 4 AWG UL 1330 high-temperature lead wire is engineered for extreme industrial environments where standard PVC or XLPE insulations would fail. Utilizing Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene (FEP) insulation, this wire is rated for continuous operation at temperatures up to 200C and provides exceptional resistance to chemicals, oils, and mechanical abrasion.
Extreme Temperature Resistance: Rated for a continuous operating temperature of 200C. This makes it ideal for internal wiring in industrial ovens, kilns, and high-performance motor leads.
FEP Insulation (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene): FEP offers a unique combination of high dielectric strength and chemical inertness. It is virtually unaffected by most solvents, acids, and fuels, ensuring long-term reliability in corrosive environments.
Enhanced Current Capacity: The 4 AWG stranded silver-plated or nickel-plated copper conductor allows for significant power delivery while maintaining the flexibility required for routing in tight internal enclosures.
Low Friction & Compact Diameter: FEP insulation is remarkably thin and “slippery” compared to silicone or fiberglass-braided high-temp wires. This allows for easier pulling through conduit and a smaller overall footprint in dense electrical panels.
Industrial Heating Equipment: Internal wiring for commercial ovens, heaters, and furnaces.
High-Performance Motors: Lead wires for heavy-duty motors and transformers operating under high thermal stress.
Chemical Processing: Wiring for sensors and power feeds in environments exposed to aggressive chemical vapors or fluids.
Aerospace & Defense: Used in systems requiring high reliability, flame resistance, and the ability to withstand rapid temperature fluctuations.
Conductor Size: 4 AWG
Conductor Material: Stranded Silver-Plated or Nickel-Plated Copper
Insulation Material: FEP (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene)
Voltage Rating: 600V
Temperature Rating: 200C
UL Style: 1330
Flame Rating: Passes UL VW-1 Flame Test
Compliance: RoHS Compliant, CSA Approved
Technical Note: Because FEP insulation is stiffer than silicone, ensure that your bend radius calculations account for the higher modulus of the material. Additionally, when stripping 4 AWG FEP, specialized high-tension stripping tools are recommended to avoid damaging the plating on the copper strands.
WIRE TYPE: 4 AWG UL 1330 FEP High Temp Lead Wire
