The Shelly Wall Switch 4 is a 4-button wall switch, offering a physical switch with which you can control your Shelly smart home ecosystem, including the Shelly Smart Control app – or link it with a popular home automation software such as Home Assistantvia a Raspberry Pi!

The wall switchcan control up to four circuits, two dimmers, or two motorised roller shutters in both directions via a Shelly Plus series relay or i4 input device (sold separately).

Featuring compact dimensions and simple, intuitive wiring requirements, the Shelly Wall Switch 4 can be affixed anywhere with the help of a Shelly Wall Frame 2 or Shelly Wall Frame 2 (sold separately).

The wall switch is fully customisable and can trigger anything from individual appliances to coordinated smart scenes and schedules involving multiple Shelly devices, or triggeranything and everything using software such as Home Assistant.

Please note that these work best with embedded steel knockout back boxes such as this example from ScrewFix. The ‘lip’ on drywall/plasterboard back boxes, depending on the brand/model, may show behind the Shelly Wall Frame (not included).

Shelly Device Compatibility

The Wall Switch 4 comes with three attachable holders to accommodate different devices from the Shelly range (sold separately):

• Holder 1 – for Shelly 2.5
• Holder 2 – compatible with all devices from the Shelly Plus/1 Gen3/2 Gen3 series
• Holder 3 – compatible with Shelly 1L / Shelly Dimmer 2
  • Not compatible with Shelly Wall Switch 1L Gen3

Note: You may require a neutral wire depending on the Shelly relay device you intend to use with this product. Some homes have neutral wiring at the switch, others only at the device (for example, a ceiling light). Please research the device and your home wiring (safely, see below) before purchasing.

• Shelly Wall Switches should be used in combination with Shelly devices or other smart devices designed to work with similar switches (the potential between Power and Switch input of the controlled devices should not exceed 12V (it’s 3.3V for Shelly devices)
• The Shelly Wall switch cannot be used to switch the main power through any kind of load
• Do not connect the device to appliances exceeding the given max load.
• Use the device only with a power grid and appliances which comply with all applicable regulations. Short circuit in the power grid or any appliance connected to the device may damage the device.
• Before starting, wire check that the breakers are turned off and there is no voltage on their terminals. This can be done with a phase meter or multimeter. When you are sure that there is no voltage, you can start wiring the cables.
